Dr. Charles L. Dietzek, D.O.,FACOS

Dr. Charles L. Dietzek is a board certified vascular surgeon with over twenty years of experience treating veins. He practices the full spectrum of vascular surgery including angiography, angioplasty, stents, atherectomy, extremity bypass, aortic aneurysm repair (endovascular stent grafting and formal surgery technique), dialysis access, carotid endarterectomy and wound care.
Dr. Dietzek completed his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Stony Brook University in New York before continuing on to earn his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then underwent general surgery training at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM) and vascular training in Cleveland, Ohio.

After serving as a faculty member and the Chief of Vascular Surgery at UMDNJ-SOM until July 2005, Dr. Charles Dietzek founded the Vein & Vascular Institute. He remains a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at UMDNJ-SOM.

Dr. Dietzek has been honored with the designation of “Top Doc” in both South Jersey Magazine and SJ Magazine. He has been featured on health segments on NBC10 and national news programs. As co-director of Total Vein Care, a national physician training course, Dr. Dietzek has trained more than 1,000 physicians in state-of-the-art vein treatment. He is an invited lecturer and respected leader in the treatment of venous disease. The Vein & Vascular Institute is a recognized Center of Excellence and a national training facility for visiting physicians in advanced vein techniques and the Closure® procedure.

Charles Dietzek has previously served as Chief of Vascular Surgery at Kennedy Medical System for twenty years, the founder and Medical Director of the Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine at Kennedy Health System, and Medical Director of the Vascular Lab at Kennedy. He also is actively involved in clinical research.
